Airport Parking limited as long-term lot closes for summer construction

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Airport parking will be severely limited over the summer as construction takes place in all four parking lots.

Passengers traveling through JIA this summer are strongly encouraged to catch a ride from family and friends or use ground transportation options like taxis, rideshares, and public transit.

The permanent Long-Term Parking Lot closes today, May 31. A temporary lot is open north of the terminal—look for detour signs on the right as you approach on Shell Simmons Drive. Parking in this lot is limited to a maximum of 14 days prepaid (pay at the kiosk before you fly), and overstays will be towed and impounded at the owner’s expense.

The Short-Term Parking Lot will be temporarily relocated during later stages of construction.
