Construction on Harris Street Begins May 10

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau and Coogan Construction will begin work on the Harris Street Reconstruction Project on Wednesday, May 10. Work is expected to continue into September.

The project will reconstruct both Harris Street from 4th Street to 7th Street and 7th Street from Harris Street to Gold Street.  Please follow all traffic control signage in this area as sections of the roads will periodically be closed to traffic.

The project includes replacement of the road base, sewer system, water system, and storm system, as well as new pavement, sidewalks, curb and gutter, and other miscellaneous work.
