DHSS reports 11th COVID-19 case in Juneau

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services has reported another confirmed case of COVID-19 in Juneau.

    According to DHSS, the source of the virus is unknown. Juneau has had 11 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19.

    CBJ is coordinating closely with DHSS. Officials with the state Division of Public Health will initiate a contact investigation and reach out to any person who may have come into contact with this individual. Public Health will notify and isolate additional persons as appropriate.

    So far, Alaska has 157 cases in total. Ketchikan is reporting 14 cases. Only three deaths are reported as of Friday afternoon.
