Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Assembly will be briefed Monday night under new business on the status of the Dimond Park Field House.
CBJ Manager Rorie Watt explained on Action Line what the panel will be told. He explained that the field house is a facility that was built with a grant from the Legislature by a non-profit on city land. The non-profit contracted with Eaglecrest Ski Area to operate the field house.
"Eaglecrest doesn't want to operate it anymore and the field house association doesn't want to operate it anymore so it's coming to the city and the question is what are we going to do with it."
He said the Assembly will take up that matter later this month.
The field house was closed in March with the advent of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
