Students from this summers JIRP program talk about their reaserch during virtual meeting

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Students from across the United States, who spent this summer on the ice field with the Juneau Icefield Research Program are sharing their experiences through two virtual programs.

    The two virtual programs will be held on Oct. 29 and Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. on the program’s Facebook page (@JuneauIcefield), and will be co-hosted by the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center.

    During the six-week program on the icefield, students were active partners with leading scientists pursuing groundbreaking research in all aspects of Earth system sciences.

    Presentations will cover research on climatology, geochemistry, and glaciology in Southeast Alaska.
