    Reports include:

    Unofficial results for the Juneau Assembly District One seat show Barbera Blake with a strong lead over fellow candidates Paul Kelly and Troy Wuyts Smith.

    Blake says she feels really optimistic and pointed out that she is ahead in all of the voting districts.

    Kelly says there is still another 60% of the votes that have yet to be tallied, and added that he is not ready to call the election one way or the other.

    An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.5 has struck early Monday off the coast of Alaska.

    U.S. Rep. Don Young’s office says the Alaska Republican helped evacuate from Afghanistan employees of an Alaska Native corporation.

    Alaskan Governor Mike Dunleavy released a letter Wednesday in response to the request to declare a state of emergency in response to the high rates of COVID-19 infections in the state.
