Capital City Fire and Rescue responded to a remote road near Hoonah on Sunday, for an air rescue of a young man who had been in a motorcycle accident.
Juneau Mayor Beth Weldon, returning assembly member Michelle Bonnet Hale, and newcomer Barbera Blake was sworn in during last night's assembly meeting. Ordinances that call for funding Bartlett Regional Hospital's unanticipated costs related to COVID-19, new security cameras for the Auke Bay loading facility, and a grant writer position were all passed.
A 26-year-old Juneau man was sent to the hospital over the weekend with serious injuries after being found lying in the outbound turn lane of Egan Drive at the McNugget Intersection.
The new additions to the Juneau School Board are getting their feet wet in learning their position.
